Poem of the Sea
Blue is the color of distance
and blue, this endless cord I sustain
the same one you tug at from I know not what abyss
blue, the voice that names you and blue, the echo of my blue tears,
and my rage was a diamond that glowed blue only at night
like a diabolical star
like a mountain of distant blues
blue, the mask used by every petal of your word
to span the distance
remote, celestial wound
sea, gashed like a wall or a fault line
where all I can view is your shadow
